Hello, I’m Parmvir.

This website is designed to showcase my latest work and is a platform to blog my travel experiences, opinions and thoughts.

A little about me

I graduated from Manchester Metropolitan University with a First Class Honours Degree in Sports Marketing Management, in 2017. After graduating, I secured a job as marketing coordinator at Wax Digital – an eProcurement and spend management solution provider.

I worked at Wax Digital for 18 months, and honestly I couldn’t have asked for a better introduction to marketing. In this job, I was lucky enough to have hands-on exposure to many areas of marketing including paid and organic social media management, content writing, event management and email marketing.

Although my day-to-day responsibilities at Wax Digital were varied, I developed a real love for writing. It’s a skill set that I’m keen to continue developing as I’m determined to make a career as a copywriter or content marketer.

Travelling

2019 is starting with a bang for me. From January to April I’m going to be traveling around Australia and South East Asia. I’m incredibly excited to experience new cultures, visit some of the most beautiful places in the world and enjoy four months of sunshine!

You can keep up-to-date with my travel experiences in my blog.

Hobbies

I’m obsessed with football – like most kids, I was happiest with a ball at my feet. You’re probably wondering which team I support. The answer? Of course, it’s Manchester United. From a young age I was mesmerised by the glory days under Fergie and supported the club ever since!

Music is a big part of my life. I’m passionate about good music and I’m always on the lookout for new tracks. Judging by my Spotify playlists, my taste in music is a little strange. It ranges from hip-hop and RnB through to indie and classical jazz – you’ll even find a few Taylor Swift ballads in there. So, you might want to think twice before ‘passing me the aux’.

Like most people, I enjoy binge-watching TV shows and seeing the latest movies. Picking a favourite is always a tough choice – for a TV series I’d have to go with Mad Men and in terms of film, Batman The Dark Knight. I also like to read, whether it’s a paperback or kindle download, I try to read one book per month. Since I’m picking favourites for everything else, I’ll plug Mario Puzzo’s The Godfather as the best book I’ve ever read.
